Inequality creates a system that is not based on meritocracy. Where there is no meritocracy, people's abilities and capabilities are not valued. When people's abilities and capabilities are not valued, people are not valued.
The absence of equality breeds a shallow system of values and a shallow system of values reinforces the existent inequality.
Honesty would require you to admit that a woman, a minority or a person with a disability is better at a task than another person.
Empathy would require you recognise the injustice that is being served against a person just because they are different from what your society says is normal.
Integrity would force you to demand that the said job is given to the person who truly deserves it.
Honour would require you to make sure that that policy is implemented everywhere.
Courage would require to keep pushing even amidst resistance.
Patience would require you to keep pushing no matter how much time it takes.
Generosity would require you reassure that person at every disappointment that you will not give up.
Kindness would require you to create an alternative settlement for them, while they wait for the big break.
Loyalty would require you to remember why you started this entire process and not allow yourself to be bought.

You can come under my posts to disagree and bark all you want, but the truth is, the world is not a haven of morals and values and does not care about how deep you are.
We kill people of outstanding morals and values. We celebrate them after they have died more than we do while they are alive.
If you are so disturbed by the standards set by this world, you need to ask yourself why. Is it because those standards are set against me? Because you can be upset about their unfairness. They are unfair. But denying their existence and the power they wield is ridiculous and tantamount to living in denial.
If the world truly followed and respected logic, it wouldn't be as screwed up as it is today.
The world is not intelligent. Intelligent people might be the builders, but they do not decide how the things they built are used.
Intelligent people who understand how the world works are rarely given the opportunity to change things. Instead they are killed off, their wings are clipped and their existence are controlled to the point where they become puppets.
Take Nelson Mandela for example. The values he upheld which landed him in prison, had become non existent by the time he was released. He knew that for him to regain and maintain his freedom he had to dance to the shallow tunes of the world.
The world is white and male.
If you disagree, that is your right. But the world is not going to become colourless and genderless, just because your logic says so.
If you want to know how the world works, just think like a white man.
