STOP DISMISSING PEOPLE'S PAINFUL EXPERIENCES

There is no phrase or expression that I dislike more than move on, let it go, forgive and forget. Those sayings rile me up. No matter how long we have been friends or how close we are, the moment you utter those words to me, you start looking like a goat in my eyes.

Those words reek of callousness and insensitivity, besides being disrespectful. How can you trivialize or outright dismiss someone's pain and experience like that?

Thank god say nor be Nigerians own internet or Facebook or Instagram. The way you people feel like you can control people's emotions and reactions is not just annoying but also embarrassing. It shows that you have low emotional intelligence.

This same mindset is what fuels all the abuse that goes on among Nigerians. People don't care about how much they hurt others. After all we are just supposed to move on, let it go and forgive.

These days, I'm careful about picking my friends. I could never be friends with callous and insensitive fools who talk without any sort of empathy for the person they are addressing.

And if you are one of those people, unlearn this nasty character trait. You are of no use to an aggrieved person with your caustic tongue.

How awful. Terribly awful.
