WOMEN STILL REMAIN WOMEN'S BIGGEST ALLIES

The woman who says "Women are women's worst enemies" is the kind of woman you should run away from. She's a patriarchal puppet that has been fed with so much misogynistic shit that she now repeats a dishonest statement that aims at discrediting the centuries of fights that women have fought for the benefits of women.

I'm not saying that women do not hurt women in Nigeria and around the world. Women have partaken and still partake in the horrible treatment of other women. However, even in the midst of such evil, a woman will still be the one to save you, NOT a man.

 

A handful of women initiated the fight to liberate themselves and other women from the oppressive system of the patriarchy. Men did NOT. Left to men, we would still be living like we did in the 18th century.

As of 2021, there are more men than women in Nigeria. The feminists among women do not even make up 1% of the female population. And they are even far far less among men. Nonetheless you will still find 100 women among those feminists to stand up and fight for you, against the 1 or 2 men who will offer the same support.

Think of Tonto Dike, Busola Dakolo, Tiwa Savage, Toke Makinwa, and recently Adesua Etomi. Who defended these women the most? Who kept reminding people that there is more to a woman than her vagina, her virginity, marriage and motherhood? Who?

But a woman who has been force fed with self hatred will still open her mouth and lie that women are women's greatest enemies.

The women who support and uplift other women may be very very few in number, so much that numerically we are considered insignificant. However our impact on the society is far from being insignificant. Instead it is loud and threatening. So threatening that men who were once relaxed that women would "naturally" follow the route of meekness and submission are now flooding social media with daily posts to remind us of our natural and God given roles as wives and mothers. Tueh.

Why would they need to remind us if someone was not working to make us forget?

Never ever allow anybody to deceive you that men will offer you the kind of support that a woman can offer you. They won't. At least not without a price.

Feminists nor plenty. But we dey. Just call and stay sure that if your battle is worthy, we will answer and fight for you and with you.
