So supposedly you only had £5, you could only buy one cow leg. All because of £2 that you didn't have, you lost out on two extra cow legs.
Imagine if you buy just one cow leg at a time any time you go shopping, as opposed to someone else who can afford to buy three at a go.
You are poorer than that person, but that person still manages to live a life that is significantly cheaper than yours. That is the value of money associated with wealth.
Rich people spend less than poor people to buy the same things.
Rich people save more money than poor people.
Being rich means access to affordability.
Affordability is a luxury and privilege that a poor man will never enjoy.
