Genevieve might be queer. I get it.
What I don't understand though is why people are making her queerness a matter of morality or a way to measure her sexual depravity. Homosexuality is a sexual orientation like heterosexuality.
How does her queerness relate with her allegedly having anal sex with some man?
How does her queerness relate with her allegedly doing runs on the down low?
Queer people are not more sexually promiscuous or depraved than straight people. In fact, if we should check the statistics, we'd see that heterosexuals are more likely to commit sex based crimes or partake in morally dubious activities.
Straight men commit the highest number of rape. Straight men also commit the highest number of defilement (paedophilia). Straight men are allowed to be sexually promiscuous. Straight men are allowed to have relations outside their relationships. Straight men are allowed to marry more than one woman.
So how did homosexuals become the depraved members of the society when they are not even given an ounce of the freedom straight people (men) are given to explore their sexuality?
You can criticize Genevieve all you want for having an affair with a married woman. But trying to castigate her for being queer is just nonsense. Even more nonsensical is trying to use her queerness to validate whatever rumours you have heard about her. As in you even know in what hole she likes to collect prick.
At least Genevieve doesn't live in Nigeria. She has risen above the low mentality of the average Nigerian blog reader. She's free to be queer wherever she is, and she doesn't owe anybody any explanation about her life.
Homosexuality is not an indication of someone's character. It's an indication of whom a person is wired to be partnered with.
