WIFE, NOT COOK

The problem is not saying a woman must know how to cook and clean.

The problem lies in the reasons why such qualities are expected of her. At the end of the day it all boils down to the idea that a woman has to be groomed to meet a standard set by society. Cooking and cleaning should be basic skills that a self sufficient adult should learn but, whereas men might decide to learn them just to be autonomous as bachelors (the majority just keep a string of girlfriends who take turn to cook), the woman is expected to carry on with these duties as part of her marital responsibilities.

Men also have their own tremendous burden placed on them by society and I just have to say, their own grooming has managed to make a majority of them totally stupid and unreasonable.

- I can't move in with my wife if her house is nicer than mine. She must come down to my level.

- If our relationship is in conflict with the company policy, my wife has to be the one to resign even if she makes twice my salary.

Women have it easy when it comes to money because being financially self sufficient is not expected of them, even as spinsters, but the demand from men at every stage of their life is almost knee crushing.

I wonder why these lots do not see the chains they are tied with and still obstinately defend the same rules that have placed them in a cage.

Men and women should learn how to do things for their own selves as a priority and for the healthiest reason I can think of.

The woman who can cook for a thousand won't feel worthless if she never has a husband or children to cook for and look after.

The man who has earned millions will never feel useless if he never has a wife or children to lavish his wealth on.

Live for yourself first because believe me, when you die, you will be dead alone with yourself.
