I'm sorry but Africa is a failed continent. Single respect we nor get. Charity begins at home. When we go abroad we start complaining of racist remarks but the truth is we don't have manners at all. We are rude and arrogant and believe we owe respect only to those above us, but i can't entirely blame us. It's the way we were brought up.
Children respect your older siblings, elders and parents but they don't have to respect you.
Citizen respect authorities and the government but they don't have to respect you.
So when we grow up and become those parents, elders, authorities and government, we feel safe. Now it's our turn to be respected but we don't owe anyone respect.
Africans will always receive bad service, people will always shun them during conversations and they will be the last choice in terms of privileged positions because they will always misuse it because them nor get respect.
We should start a whole new culture: multilateral respect. Let's implement it and enforce it and in the next 20 years we will see all these racist accusations by Africans against foreigners will lessen. Because even me i be racist against African customers. Imagine one idiot telling me "Oya sauce". She even roll her eyes and turn her back for me. Kai.
