A recent case is that of a 36 year old man who filed for his mother, father and two siblings to come and join him in the USA. The DNA test revealed that their father was not the father of any of them.
What could be the reasons behind this phenomenon?
There are many explanations but it's fair to say that Nigerian men are not the only ones who are polygamous in nature.
It's common occurrence for women to leave their long term boyfriend and marry the rich dude who proposes marriage. Well, it's also common occurrence for these women to settle their boyfriends by offering them one last day of hot sex. If the sex results in a pregnancy, most women will simply pin it on their oblivious husbands and carry on with their lives. If there is a child who may not be yours, it's most certainly the first one.
Another situation is when a man is sterile and the woman knows and is tired of being blamed for their childlessness. So she goes out and gets pregnant by a strange man. The husband might know or might not know. However if he does, he's more than happy to have a woman who is willing to cover up for his shame.
The last situation is just that of a woman who cheats throughout the course of her marriage. While the children a man fathers with other women are known as the children he fathered with other women, the children the woman mothered with other men are much harder to detect. In most cases, the man will never know until he dies. Other times the rise of a medical condition will reveal that the DNAs of father and child don't match.
Nigerian women cheat and they cheat with no emotions attached. They sleep with other men, get pregnant with their children and carry on being doting wives to their husbands.
So my question is: are you sure that you are your father's child? Are you also sure that all your children are yours?
