When a woman is a victim of a sexual crime and misconduct, people generally do not see the "wrong" she has suffered, instead the focus is on the fact that a woman has been touched by a man who is not her husband. This is why in some countries, when a woman is raped, she also gets flogged for committing fornication or adultery.
Note that nobody ever questions the character of a boy who is raped, but some idiots still question the character of a girl who is raped.
